is there a preference some where that i can change, so that the play head in SD3 will reflect the moment to the host daw i use studio one. when i move the play head in the daw, SD3 reflects the PH movment but working with the midi editor grid, it would be nice if when i move the PH om SD3, the daw moved it’s PH to that point as well. maybe there is a preference i dont know about or cant find help on this would be cool thanks
Superior Drummer 3 follows the play head from the DAW. In a coming update it will follow the play head even if the DAW isn’t playing when you move the play head.
We can’t make the DAW follow Superior Drummer 3’s play head though. No plug-in can tell the DAW where to put it’s play head. Generally – the DAW is in command, and the plug-ins listen 🙂

Gotchya.. dont know how they do it but Melodyne does it.. i believe melodyne only integrates that way with Studio One tho) just giving you an example of a plug in that does it hope that helps thanks for getting back to me tty next time 🙂
Yes, there is a format (ARA) that allows this, and a few plugins and hosts support this. ARA is a good idea, and we will have a look at it in the future. I can’t tell you when, or if, it will be used though 🙂
