Hello,
I haven’t used my setup in months. I opened up Logic and loaded some past recordings. SD3 is there. Loads fine. Plays through BUT no sound from SD3. I checked everything. Removed any plugins on the SD3 stereo channel. Nothing. Stuck.
Opening up SD3 stand alone works perfect. Never had an issue before. Everything is fully up to date.

MAc OSx Sonoma 14
Superior Drummer 3 version: 3.3.6
Operating system: macOS Sonoma (14)
Did your system work before you updated to Sonoma? As of right now SD3 is not considered compatible with Sonoma. That being said check your routing in Logic and that no tracks are muted.

I know a few people using Sonoma with SD3.
What do you mean when you say “no sound”? Is your instrument channel routed to an output? Do you have MIDI? If so, do you see anything in SD3’s mixer?

I think there’s something else going on. OP says he hasn’t used his system in a few months and he’s on Sonoma? Didn’t that just drop to the public a little over a month ago? He could have fallen to the old bugaboo with Mac’s and that is installing a whole new MacOS right over the top of the old install. That can lead to all sorts of incompatibilities. That you have friends running Sonoma with no problems means they’re lucky.

Definitely no argument as far as luck goes. You and I have very similar views about riding the bleeding edge with Apple.
However, from the clues that the OP left, the fact that he is getting sound in standalone indicates that there isn’t a Coreaudio incompatibility, since the standalone is most likely a wrapper for the audio unit. Considering that the problem seems to be isolated to Logic Pro, I am willing to bet that something has changed within his project.

Thanked by: drumjack52Thanks. anyone have any suggestions on what to try in Logic and SD3? I’m stuck.
Can’t tell without looking at your project. ZIP your Logic project without audio and post it so we can have a look.
