I have the same quesstion??? And it is now 5-25-20!!

So I installed sd3 on my desktop with no issues..I want to install it on my drum laptop as well but I had to remove the sd2 library (external ssd) because the drive was full..I go to install the 1st part of the sd3 library and I get a merssage says not enough room so I go to options and try to set the path to the ssd and make a new folder for the library and hit enter..A little box with a error message…THE SELECTED FOLDER IS NOT A VALID INSTALLATION OF SUPERIOR DRUMMER 3 LIBRARY..How do I fix this? thanks…

Ive had this issue with other sample libraries. The workaround is to install the software on any internal larger or external drive that allows the installation, then just move if manually to the drive you want. In apple Monterey with M1 chips there are some issues with drives getting different permissions that are not easy to fix. But find a drive that works then move the samples.

You may have to select the correct path in SD3 after you manually move the files, but it works. It just takes an extra step

Thanks for the help! I ended up moving the files from the original drive to the new drive hoping to change the path in SP3 after that. Now, SP3 will not let me make any changes to the paths before verifying EZ drummer from a trial I had over a year ago. I no longer have EZ drummer installed so I’m stuck here at the moment.

Never mind, got through that last step. I think I’m close to having everything moved now. Thanks again
