Hi,
I have a TD8 module that I connect to SD3 through MIDI. I have a CY5 cymbal that I use for hi hat and a hi hat control pedal. I recently updated my SD3 after not using it for around a year. After the update, all my user presets disappeared in SD3 (I have the preset files saved in my PC, but cannot load them in SD3). Since I don’t have any of my presets anymore, I tried using existing kits from the default library and The Metal Foundry library. I haven’t found a single kit where I could hear a sound when I pressed the hi hat control pedal without hitting the hi hat. I had no such issue in the past. Any help to get hi hat splash working be appreciated. Thanks!
If you have the presets then put them into the folder the presets reside in. You can find that out by saving a new preset and opening the folder. Are you using the right edrum preset for your kit?

I tried saving a preset for a kit, then “Manage in Explorer”, then copying my older preset for that kit into that folder, and then “Rescan User Presets”, and it still didn’t work.
I am fine with not using my older presets, but would like to get hi hat splash to working as intended. I am currently not getting any sounds from any kits when I use the hi hat control pedal.
You don’t mention if you have selected the edrum drum preset for your kit? If you select this it should work and then you need to save as your default project. This way it will stay loaded with any preset.

Thanked by: Onur KayiranThanks for your help Mark. I selected the TD8 preset for my kit and it didn’t help. I did some more testing, and I feel like the issue might be due to my FD8 pedal, not SD3 settings.
