I’ve come across an issue today while using SD3 for drum replacement in Reaper. I’m not using tracker, but rather Reaper’s MIDI trigger plugin….. It seemed to work fine for a few hours, now it has taken to hanging. I posted a message on Reaper’s forum and thought I would try here as well.
SD3 is working fine in standalone mode, but I wonder if it is the cause of the hanging. I’m using a stripped-down(<1Gb) kit for replacing kick, snare, and toms. I've done this many times with SD2 without a hitch. This new project has no other new plugins, except for SD3. Plaback with stop and a continous popping sound is emitted from my UR824 about every 1/2 second until I reboot. I just replaced SD3 in the project with SD2, and can't seem to replicate the crash........
Thanks for any help!

Hi Mark,
is the log really that short?
You can ZIP Compress the log and attach it to a post here.
Is the version number displayed in the plugin GUI 3.0.3?

Thanks for the reply.
Yes, 3.03. and that was the extent of the log.
I replaced SD3 in the project with SD2 and the hanging stopped….. I got curious, and reverted back to SD3, only this time with my default kit, and could not replicate the hanging problem. The kit that was loaded when I had issues was stripped down to only kick, snare, and 2 toms and used for audio-to-MIDI triggered replacement. Is it possible I had an errant MIDI note trying to trigger a non-loaded sample? I wouldn’t think that would lead to a crash, but I don’t know what else was different after I re-loaded SD3….
No, it shouldn’t.
If you can find a recipe to re-trigger this, please report back here, I do not know how to reproduce.

Thanks. Hopefully it was a fluke and won’t happen again. I will report back if it does….
