A bit more help from you would help like what are you doing when you’re getting the crashes. Is your daw crashing? Are you getting the BSOD?

    BSOD?

As mentioned, 2 projects are suffering from this.

They will load up, then as soon as the track is played, SD3 crashes, a dump file is created, then Ableton follows.

BSOD – blue screen of death. A Google search will explain it better than I can but it’s something that can happen when Windows goes into failure mode.

How much ram do you have? Are you loading everything from SD3 into ram? Try deleting SD3 from the session, restart your daw and try the session again without SD3. If that works then you know it’s SD3 related. Where are your samples – system drive or a separate drive? Is said drive an ssd?

    Got it. Doesn’t happen.
    Didn’t address the rest though.

Anyone from Toontrack willing to kick in and help solve this riddle/

Your crash dump shows version 3.3.1. The first step would be to update to the latest version of S3. If you get a crash then, upload that crash dump so I can forward to support.

Again I ask – how much ram do you have and where are your samples stored? Basic info which may or may not point to the cause. But it sure would help.

Does it happen with a fresh SD3 project? If not, then your projects might be corrupt. If you can open your projects in standalone, then try recovering whatever you can out of it into a fresh project and see if that helps.

    That helped, thank you!
It appears that one of the projects was corrupt.

    Thanks again.

Glad it helped. Once way to recover your SD3 project (if you are able to open it in standalone) is to open your fresh project in your DAW and drag the MIDI regions from the old project to the new one.
