My SD3 sometimes crashes (DAW, not standalone version)…usually, it is when a Metal Foundry project is open in a saved DAW project. I am using Cakewalk Sonar / Cakewalk by Bandlab.
I use a 6th tom…that isn’t an x-drum, but a cymbal…so you click the cymbal and my 6th tom is played..the kit was originally created in SD2.
I reported this bug some time ago (about 3 years)..and it was fixed, but seems it is back or a different bug.
Here are two of my crash files.
SeelenPuls ~ Poetic metal from Austria: SeelenPuls.at
Grummelgnom ~ Sociocritical metal from the forest: Grummelgnom.at
These crashes don’t seem to have anything to do with your drum setup or what library you are using. One crash was when SD3 was starting to read its MIDI databases and one when it was going to read its sound databases. If it doesn’t crash in standalone, I’d guess something else is causing a memory corruption in your DAW.
