Has anyone been able to activate a sidestick rimshot using the new TD17’s PDX-12? I am able to hear the rimshot from the Drums tab using a mouse, but not on the snare itself? Any help is appreciated
Record yourself hitting the rim and see what note number it is. The on the edrums page manually map it to the note number that was sent. Rolands usually have a button which changes the rim to side stick and rimshot or just rimshot.
SD3 has all the tools there to learn and manually change note numbers. It would be worth investing a bit of time in the manual reading this section as if you add pieces to the kit you will need to know anyway. The drum presets are ok but just starting points.
