SD3 and Boss DR-880

Here is something strange. I’ve written a drum song on my DR-880. I’m using about 9 patterns assembled in a song. When I play the individual patterns, they trigger the SD3 drums just fine. When I play the song, they don’t trigger the SD3 drums and they lock up the program. I have to force quit to get back.
Anyone experience this?

System specs please. What OS, S3 version, DAW is you’re using one, audio device, MIDI interface, etc.? The more info we have, the more likely we could have an answer.
