Have you checked Settings / Audio/MIDI Setup… so that the Roland drums are checked in the list of MIDI devices used by Superior Drummer 3?

    Hi there,

I having an similar situation but im not able to find AUDIO/MIDI Setup in SD3 settings? Would you know why that may be the issue?

I have followed instruction about a duzzin times with drivers, vender mode, local control, IAC Driver lit up but nothing. My Studio one DAW can now read it and set up to it but my Roland TD-27KV is not working. Waiting for MIDI is all i am getting.?

Any guidence here? I thinking the issue has to do with more of the Audio/MIDI Setup in SD3 settings.

by the way, i have an extension  USB cable to the Roland MIDI cable to USB connected to a USD thunder bolt 3 adapert in Mac M1. Hope that made sense

    Thank you for your time.

    Hi there,

Audio/MIDI settings are only available when running SD3 in standalone mode not as a plug-in within Studio One. When you are running as a plug-in, your DAW manages device input.

Try stopping Studio One and running SD3 from your applications folder standalone and see if you can get input from your TD-27KV.
