I recently upgraded to Ableton live 10 and superior drummer 2 was working fine. I purchased the Metal Foundry expansion yesterday and since installing it whenever I try open Superior Drummer 2 in Ableton I get a pop up saying “A serious program error has occurred. Live will shut down after this message box is closed” Ableton then shuts down. I am also running EZ Mix and purchased a couple of expansion packs for it at the same time and they work fine. I bought Superior Drummer 2 years ago with the installation discs and it has worked great with no problem. The Metal Foundry is the first expansion pack I’ve downloaded for it and now its crashing Ableton. I’m running an older HP Pavilion with windows 7 but have recently upgraded to SSD and a couple of other things so the specs are pretty good. I’ve also noticed in my Toontrack product manager it says that the Metal Foundry is ready to use but is only partially installed as full sound library not installed. When I hit install it goes through the process and says installed successfully but the status of partially installed does not change in product manager. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Hi,
could you please Search for all ‘Superior Drummer.dll’ files on your system and delete them.
Then run the latest Superior Drummer 2 plug-in update again from the Product Manager.
When you expand the ‘Details’ for the Metal Foundry in the Product Manager, what does it say on the ‘Installation Info’ tab? If possible, can you post a screen shot (leaving out serial number)?
BR,
John
