Scanning of user Midi files – time it takes

Hi, I added my large collection of midi files and had them scanned. Took a long time to scan them all.

Then I added a few more, the new folder is shown but no midi files are shown in EzKeys 2.

So, I use the ‘Sync Folder’ option. Now it scans ALL the ones already scanned. Do I really have to wait 20+ minutes every time I add some files to re-scan all that were already scanned? Can you not just scan what new, or let us scan ONE folder only?

You’re not entirely explaining your situation.

Grooves Tab > Upper Right Options Menu > Linked Folder > Add Linked Folder.

If you’re using third party midi, that is where you can import it one folder at a time.

If I piled 100k midi files in 100 folders and imported that into my User Midi for example, made a change to a couple files and selected Sync, if would resync 100k files just as an example.

If I imported my individual folders via Linked Folder workflow, I would only sync small amounts when needed. There’s a few ways to organize things and many scenarios depending on your Hard Drive organization. I organize my midi by the company I bought it off of, and import those individual folders via Linked Folder to stay super organized. That’s just me though.
