Scales and chords

After bit of a dodgy start I must admit EZBass is seriously growing on me but I do have a question and a comment.

So question

When you click on ‘Operation Manual’ in the Help menu you get taken to a screen where you appear to have the option to print or save the manual as a PDF, any one any idea how you get to save it as a PDF as all I get is a printer setup screen but no save option.

I find having just the major scale available is a bit limiting and leads to needing to manually change notes to fit with a harmony, it would be really good if harmonic and (jazz) melodic minor were implemented as well, at least most bases (no pun intended) would then be covered. Alternately, why not just have the ability to more accurately define the chords and use those rather than a scale when generating a baseline, I mean even in rock and metal how often do the chords strictly belong to a ‘scale’ and in jazz and fusion things can get even more blurred. Or am I over complicating things? all I know is that in the day I have been using it I have had to go in and flatten and sharpen certain notes to fit the chords I am using. Having said all that it certainly has enabled me to come up with more realistic bass lines than I seem to manage and quickly as well.

You should be able to save it as an PDF in the printer setup dialog. At least that’s possible on a Mac. It should be possible on Windows also as far as I know.

Regarding different scales, it’s possible that we will add this in the future but at this stage we cannot promise anything.

Hi there, indeed I’m having fun with EZBass. Just had a couple of hours to play with it yet but from what I can see I really love it.

I was equally a bit embarrassed to only see major and minor chords available. I would have expected at least minor, major and dominant 7th chords.

Hope that this will be implemented sooner or later.

The print to pdf option does not appear in my print dialog, whether or not it does in later windows versions I have no idea.  Anyway thanks for the reply.
