Ok total noob here, I’d love to take some of R Devine’s mixer settings and subtly apply them to other more conventional kits, how would I do this?
You can load the Drums and Mixer preset with the mixer you want, and then try the kits under the Drum Kits menu (in the bottom of the list where you find the Drums and Mixer Presets).
You can also alt + click (on Mac anyway – I *think* it’s the same on PC) on the Drums and Mixer preset to open “Load Parts”, where you can select to only load the drum kit from the chosen preset. You can also access Load Parts by right clicking, or pressing the down arrow menu button, on each SD3 preset.

Hi all,
I have created my own mixer settings in a project using the djent kit.
How can I save my custom mixer setting so that they become the default setting for all future projects on the djent kit?
I am totally stuck with this.
Hi John,
in the File Menu of SD3 you can ‘Set Current to Default Project’ which will save the current state of the entire SD3 plug-in as the Default state when you open SD3.
You cannot modify the original ‘Default’ state for a library when loading it, i.e. if you have your own SD3 ‘Default’ state and then switch library and back, it will not be your saved ‘Default’ state but you can of course save your modified states as your own Projects, which can be loaded from the ‘Drums and Mixer’ User Presets.
BR,
John
