Saving preset/song with cached mode

Is there any way to save with cached mode, so that it doesn’t have to recache next time you open a song…. ?

 

My cached drum kit is 334 Meg, the uncached kit is 4107Meg… that’s a huge difference in resource usage … for the same sonic outcome.

if I save a Project with Cached mode on, it opens with Cached mode on. Do you mean that it doesn’t for you?

Or is your question more about having the already cached samples in your project sort of saved in the cached mode, so you do not have to run through your project to load them when you open the song next time? If so, that is not possible.

Hi and thanks for the quick reply…

 

Yes, that’s what I am after…. so I can load an already cached drum kit when the project opens… at the moment I just crank the tempo up to 500 bpm and run through

the project… then put the tempo back….

It would be wonderful to be able to save that state… or make up a kit that size … somehow…

Yes, kind of a currently cached samples save option. I have no idea if it’s possible to implement or not, the layman me thinks it would be trickier than you might initially think but anyway, it’s definitely something to post about in the ‘Requests & Feedback’ section.
