    Hi,

do I understand correctly that if you change stuff in the SD3 plugin, then close it and Save your Cakewalk project, the changes are not saved?

What if you perform changes in the SD3 plugin, do not close it and then Save?

If you change stuff in the SD3 plugin, then do some kind of change in Cakewalk, like move a fader up and down, then Save?

    BR,
    John

    Gentlemen

To my knowledge most DAW’s do not communicate volume slider information with plugins like superior drummer.

When loading the superior drummer in your DAW the default profile is always used.  I therefore save any changes that I want to have appear in every new instance within the DAW. In my DAW I have the ability to save program changes, bank and patch information. This could be where those changes that you make within the plug in might be saved but I am not sure of that.

Nit strictly true. I use Cubase and if I change a kit in sd3 without saving it (which is what the question is about) then when I save the Cubase project sd3 is also saved in the state I left it. When opening the project again sd3 is still in the edited state. Not a good practice as I sometimes have to find the project and save as a preset so I can open in another project.

SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors
