“Save for later” a block in Grid Editor?

I’ve done some edits to a block of drums in the Grid Editor, and decided not to use this version for now, but I want to keep it as an option for later.

I know I can export the block as a MIDI file, or save it as User MIDI, but is there a quick/lightweight way of retaining the block for later use within this session? Something like populating the Song Creator with my own blocks, or using alternative playlists?

You can make an alternative track and put your groove, or the entire song, in it. I often find myself working with alternative tracks keeping different ideas of the song in them.

Thanks. How do I create an alternative track within the grid editor? I can’t find it in the manual.

BEST ANSWER

You can create multiple Song Tracks from the Track Menu. Or click the + sign next to the current Song Track.
