Hi !
I’m looking at upgrading the internal storage options for my main machine which is a MacBook Pro. As an option, rather than having a 2TB internal SSD drive installed, is there any issue with me running an 2TB external version instead?
My machine has a 1TB internal drive but isn’t SSD and is fairly slow, so I’ll also be looking to increase the RAM from 8gb to whatever max amount that I can. I’m looking to speed up the machine and run all my audio software from the external drive.
Hi,
I’m running the SD3 library off an external TB (not SSD) drive on my MacBook Pro, no problem.
I recommend the memory upgrade, I have upgraded mine to 16GB which currently is the maximum for the MacBook Pro line.
BR,
John
