From the ‘Important ReadMe’ file in the installer folder:

Note that, currently, Avid ProTools is only available as a 32-bit application so, regardless of operating system, you will need to run the EZmix 32-bit installer. In addition, the VST plug-in path you will be prompted for is unimportant and the RTAS plug-in component will be installed as appropriate regardless of what you choose.
