Hi there,
I use a Tascam model 12 as my interface in Logic X and SD standalone. In Logic X I can route SD multi out to all the PC returns in the Tascam model 12 (stereo output, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 & 9-10 -> see screenshot 3). In SD3 standalone however the interface confuses me a lot and can’t route SD 1-2 to Tascam 1-2, SD 3-4 to Tascam 3-4, etc.
In SD3 standalone the multi outs are named Output(L) 1 & Output(R) 1, Output(L) 2 & Output(R) 2, etc. Can’t assign output 1 & 2 to Tascam 1 & 2 etc.
Does anyone has experience routing the channels on this interface?
Best, Remco
Did you already tried:
Out Channels
Output(L) 1:1
Output(R) 1:2
Output(L) 2:3
Output(R) 2:4
Output(L) 3:5
Output(R) 3:6
Output(L) 4:7
Output(R) 4:8
Output(L) 5:9
Output(R)5:10
In the mixer you can use buses in a configuration like the screenshot:
Output 1 = Left drum mix (See the bus sends to the buses …ST for stereo mixing)
Output 2 = Right drum mix (See the bus sends to the buses …ST for stereo mixing)
Output 3 = Kick (note the panning on the bus to left)
Output 4 = Snare (note the panning on the bus to right)
Output 5 = Toms (note the panning on the bus to left)
Output 6 = Hihat (note the panning on the bus to right)
Output 7 = OH Left (note the panning on the bus to left)
Output 8 = OH Right (note the panning on the bus to right)
Output 9 = Ambience Left (note the panning on the bus to left)
Output 10 = Ambience Right (note the panning on the bus to right)
Greetings Wouter
Hi Wouter,
Thanks very much for your reply!! The output settings you suggested work the way I wanted.
