Routing individual drums to separate midi tracks in ReaperDAW

I just bought EZdrummer3. I was using free drum programs and it was simple to “1 click” build out routing so each drum was on its own midi channel in Reaper. i.e. Kick Midi #1, Snare Midi#2 etc. Well I am flummoxed because cant figure out if this is even possible in this program? I researched and using some convoluted midi note filtering, its possible however I could not get it to work after hours of trying. Am I missing something fundamental that everyone simply mixes stereo drums and you cant isolate each drum/instrument for further processing?

Can anyone give me some advise on this please.
