Roland TD25 latency w Superior Drummer and DP

I’m on Catalina using the latest DP 10 on a newer iMac and I’m getting severe latency no matter how the buffer is set.
I’ve followed the directions in setting up the TD25 so I’m not sure what the cause is.
Any suggestions?

Superior Drummer 3 version: 3.2.4
Operating system: macOS Catalina (10.15)

if you use the SD3 standalone, does the latency and buffer size settings work for you as expected?
