Roland TD-6V MIDI in SD3 – Help

Attempting to trigger SD3 drum kits using my Roland TD-6V percussion sound module. I have the Roland MIDI out to a usb-c in on my Macb00k pro. Do I need a Roland driver? I have the Roland selected in SD3 setup – MIDI mapping page. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Do you have the pads connected to the drum brain? Your setup is quite old (last produced 2008) and appears to be discontinued. If it’s class compliant you shouldn’t need a driver.

The td6 has a standard din midi out. What exactly are you plugging it into? Have you bought a midi interface and if so what is it?

SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors
