Do you mean your connected via USB instead of Firewire? Or are you connected via the MIDI out port?

Hard to tell as it can’t be SD3 itself. It has to be the midi interface or how you have routed it in Reaper.

SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors

Check to see if your track in Reaper is expecting data on a certain MIDI channel. If so, you might want to set it to receive data on any channel.
