Hello fellow stick merchants.
I’m using SD3 with my Roland TD 07 and it’s working like a bought one. Lovely. So nice to play with awesome sounds.
I also own an SPD SX Pro which I’d like to use with SD3 on little cover gigs.
I’ve got everything working nice like except the hi hat controller and am having a sod of a time figuring out how to get it to work within SD3
Has anyone on here done this? I tried searching but haven’t been able to find anything relevant.
I’m wanting to hit one of the pads for the closed hi hat sound and it works find with the inbuilt samples in the SX Pro but can’t figure out how to setup the same in SD3
Any help appreciated 🙂
Cheers

Hi,
did you start with selecting the SPD-SX MIDI Preset?
Are you using a HH Pedal with your SX Pro to control the openness of the HiHat?
Or are you just looking for triggering separate articulation hits?
You can tweak the SPD-SX preset to suit your playing and library and then save as your own preset.

John

HI John.
Thanks for replying. Yes I’ve tried the SPD preset. Still doesn’t work right with the pedal.
I did a little video of what I’m wanting to do but can’t upload it here.
Might see if I can drop box it.
Ok. Here it is: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/xnxd1o8gfyl8t3yuuo93u/SPD_SX_Pro_SD3.mp4?rlkey=zi6mz31iv2wb6a2ej59ul4xm5&st=reoizops&dl=0
Hope this explains a bit more easily what I’m trying to do 🙂
Cheers
