Roland SPD SX and SD3

I’ve mapped out the pads to the hits I want but can’t seem to figure out the hi hat correctly. I have a Yamaha hi hat pedal but am not sure where to plug it in and how to map it to the sounds necessary to control it with the pedal. Does anyone have any experience with this?

edit: I also have other external trigger pads I can use if I need to do that
