I am using SD3 (both with and without Ableton on Mac) with Roland electronic module (V-71). The digital ride cymbal is not triggering properly. The edge and bell trigger reasonably well. There are dead zones between the bell and edge. this happens with all ride VST’s selected.
This does not happen when using the V71 without SD3 or when using EZDrummer 3.
Any ideas how to get this solved?
Thank you,
Phil
You need to check what is being sent. Do the notes exist? If you record in Ableton on a midi track (not sd3) are all the notes there that you played? If you send that midi to sd3 does it trigger the tide sounds ok. If a sound doesn’t work do you see anything else trying to trigger.
SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors
