I bought and downloaded Rock Solid a few days ago, but when I try to install the sound library update for windows, I keep getting an error saying “The format of this EZX on disk is not compatible with this update. Please reinstall the full product before applying this update.” I’ve tried reinstalling on the product manager but I just cant get it to work. Anyone else have this issue or know how to fix it?
When you open the EZD2 Standalone, what version number is shown on the interface? You indicate that you are running 2.1.8 which isn’t the latest version. Which version shows on the interface?

I have attached an image of what the product manager says. Looking again, I think i actually have version 2.2.1 installed and misread it originally

What does the Standalone interface say? Sometimes there may be more than 1 .dll that was installed and there may be a discrepancy. I’m trying to determine if that is the case.

Can you post a screenshot of the error when you install through the Toontrack Product Manager? I may need to forward it to the programmers. Thanks.

I have the same issue with DFH and Nashville. Did this ever get resolved?
Unfortunately this never got resolved for me. I am able to use the Rock Solid kit in Ableton, so it’s not a huge issue for me. But the updates are still waiting to be installed and giving me the same errors. I had someone contact me through email and try to help, but they weren’t able to get mine fixed. You might have better luck, though. Here’s the email address they contacted me from:
After some head scratching, I was able to get the updates to install. When I looked in the install log, it said it could not find the file soundb0.obw in the Sounds subfolder for each EZX. I checked and I did not have that file for DFH or Nashville, but I did have a file in the Pop/Rock folder. I used the online “full product installer” for DFH and Nashville to reinstall the EZX. That overwrote the original installation and added the soundb0.obw files that were missing. Then I was able to install the update.

Thanked by: Nicholas SheaDude! Thank you so much! I was able to copy that soundb0.obw file into Rock Solid from another sound folder and get the update installed
