I have an Alesis Nitro Mesh kit which is having some intermittent issues.
It was mostly fine when I first install EZ Drummer on 1-7-21, but yesterday and today I’m
having problems with trigger mapping (ride cymbal and floor tom, etc)and also hi hat not playing tight closed sound.
What e-drum midi-mapping preset are you using? (i typically change this to none)
Are the notes that the Nitro is transmitting what the EXZ you’re using requires?
You’re not using the latest version of EZD2.
A copy/paste response from the last Nitro post….
EZD2 cannot do this for you. You must configure the Alesis head unit to send the correct note (midi map) to EZD2. Consult the Alesis manual on how to do this. At this point, look in EZD2 for the correct note to use with your Alesis head unit by looking in Menu>AboutSoundLibraries>”TheKitYou’reUsing”>MidiLayout.

Thanked by: MojoKennyBI definitely appreciate your response “shootiehg”. I’m brand new to MIDI. I did update EZD2 just now and midi-mapping is currently set to none.
I’m in the process of figuring how to set my Alesis Module properly. It may take me a while. I’m wondering why the sounds were all fine when I first connected the kit on Thur. 1-7-21. It seems to be intermittent, like right now I’m not getting any sound on the kit
It looks like it is working good for now. It probably was the Alesis module adjustment (setting it to not play Alesis sounds and recognize midi)
Thanks “shootiehg”.
