Regarding recording e-drums inside Toontrack software. I find the in-plugin recording software really intuitiv with great potensial. However.. All the great functions are not very useful without the possibility to undo selected parts. I have never experienced quantizing an entire track with success. In pro tools I can undo whatever parts with ghostnotes , fills etc and restore the performance of the drummer. This way I can tighten up the entire track and just undo the parts that gets over-quantizied or corrected the wrong way… This function would make recording inside Toontrack VERY attractive so I hope this can be implemented as soon as possible 🙂

Thanks for your feedback! I’ve added this to our lists of feature requests.
For now, maybe you could go to the Track menu and select “Duplicate Current Song Track” before you start to edit the MIDI. This way, the original MIDI performances will be kept safe on the duplicated Track. If you need to, you could then replace “over-quantized” MIDI with the original performance using Copy/Paste for instance.

I realize there is a few workarounds , duplicating the track being one of them. However.. when you do lots of takes , testing performance, grooves , arrangements, jump-in fills etc it is a real hassle to constantly remember to duplicate tracks or make backups along the way. Every extra and unnecessary task also has a tendency to dampen the creative process so I really look forward to having this feature in your otherwise magnificent software. Kind Regards David
