Why is it if you load up ez drummer in garageband and hit the drums using the track/pad on your computer it sounds loud ( right noise level ) vs if you hook up a keyboard and use the keys on that. ( low volume noise level )?
If you mouse-click on the kit pieces in EZdrummer it triggers velocity 127. If you use a MIDI input device, the sounds will trigger at the velocity sent by the MIDI device.

Hi Scott
Ah ok i see. so clicking with mouse is a SET volume and clicking with keyboard is based on how hard you hit the key? Is that adjustable in garageband for the midi volume?
I don’t use Garageband so you’d need to check the GB manual if can make adjustments in the MIDI editor.

You can double-click the recorded/dropped MIDI part to edit it and then select the notes you wish to make louder and use the Velocity slider in Garageband.

Where is the velocity slider in garage band??? there is a master volume no velocity slider
As it stands.. If i hit the drums with the mouse its sounds at the right loudness, if i hit with keyboard I have to smash it to get it to sound like it does with the mouse.. what the heck is up with that?
Problem also is it wont record.
