Hey Toontrack Team & Fellow Users,
I’ve been using EZdrummer and Superior Drummer for a while now, and I absolutely love the quality of the MIDI groove packs. However, I’d really love to see more modern metal and djent-focused MIDI packs—something tailored for progressive, polyrhythmic, and complex groove patterns.
Some ideas for potential packs:
Djent Grooves: Ghost notes, syncopated kick patterns, and off-time snare hits inspired by bands like Periphery, Meshuggah, and Tesseract.
Progressive Metal Drumming: Odd time signatures, intricate fills, and technical double bass work.
Extreme Metal Drumming Vol. 2: Expanding on the existing pack with even more blast beats, breakdowns, and high-speed grooves.
I know Toontrack has some great metal packs already, but a djent/prog-focused MIDI collection would be amazing for songwriting!
Anyone else here interested in this? Would love to hear what others think!
