If this has been addressed earlier, I apologize in advance. But does anyone know if its possible to use Superior’s Replace feature with only a 2-track audio recording of a drum set performance? In the video tutorial, TT discusses importing multi-track drum audio, e.g., kick, snare, hats, cymbals, each on dedicated tracks, and then engaging the Replace feature to replace the recorded sounds with Superior samples. I have just a simple 2-track audio recording of a drum part, which I’d like to Replace with Superior samples, but am unsure whether the program would work for that purpose.
Any help/suggestion is appreciated.
It can but the accuracy will not be great. I use it on separate tracks and it works great but I don’t use it on hi hats or cymbals. Also I usually mix the sounds in with the original. Try it. Just load the same stereo track as many times as you need to but on each lane choose the instrument you want to replace. Warning though. Even with just a snare track I have to do quite a lot of editing of the midi.
