Hello,
Is there no way to rename an x-drum?
I’ve added an additional snare, and I can’t for the life of me find a way to rename it from “Instrument 1”.

Thanked by: JessSoelberg@buasia and all others mentioning editing the source file of a created user preset to achieve this, I really recommend to be careful on this. Make sure you do it on your own presets only. As a music software programming acknowledged person who runs studios all over the world with partial our own software I can tell you such task is not as easy as you may think because some of the “labels” in this settings file may refer to each other and you will get possible problems with mic routings or other settings belonging to the label you need to see in Grid editor or Drum view instrument place. I think this is the reason why it hasn’t been added yet quickly. It isn’t as aesy as users often think it is. My last “wake up call” here when this thread became silent, was from 2021. Which started another discussion here without avail.
From own experience in developing software I can tell you that often even the most obvious feature from your side (users perspective) sometimes come not into mind when you are deep into the middle of software programming and finalizing. And then when all is done you realize that there is something conceptually on the bottom (in the root) of the whole thing, which makes it not so easy to change exactly this litte think requested. So maybe (I can not know, just guess here) Superiour Drummer has a conceptual root problem in its software structure or settings management, which makes it hard to make this possible quickly. Which is a bummer and I hope Toontrack has enough power and capabilities at hand to fix the problem or the root problem making it so hard to change.
I also offer my eye on it if any developer sees it here. I am willing to help without any donation to me. I just would love to see this fixed because I can seee a chance that this software looses momentum when users get frustrated on such minor things all over the years. And I am referring not only to extra added “X-” instruments. I talk about any instrument “channel” placed on the existing kid. For example to call the Cymbal5 rather the FlushyCymbal or something. Or, if I replace a Tom with a congo in a exisiting kit, I would love to read Congo not Tom all over the places. (But who knows maybe this is already possible by going another route while replacing instruments) Just came additionally into mind while writing it down here. Just examples to show off of why I think “renaming” is a mandatory feature all over the places.
