How to rename clip titles in the arrangement midi section??
(They end up having ridiculous names like “HiHat Closed Tip” and “HiHat Tight Edge…” it’s ridiculous and horrible to remember what all the clips are.)
I must be missing something. And yes I know about adding a “Song Part” to a clip but I usually end up having multiple clips in there for the same part! I’ve been trying to figure this out for what it seems like forever.
Thank you so much
Hi,
renaming parts on the Song Track is currently not possible.
As you have discovered, you can give parts different section names and colors for Intro, Verse, Chorus, etc.
Renaming parts has been requested by other users earlier, so I would imagine it’s on the Feature Requests list.

Is this possible yet? Renaming clips would be really helpful to keep things organized.
Hi John
I’m using EZ Drummer 3 (Version 3.0.6, not listed on the versions list below) to create my own drum loops, and there IS an option to create new folders, rename folders, rename files, etc…
What I would like to know is why won’t the new name save? I can select the folder or file and type in the new name, but as soon as I click or hit shift, the file or folder reverts back to the default “Track 1” or “new folder”.
It’s very frustrating because I want to build a database of loops for my 50’s rock ‘n’ roll, rockabilly and traditional country loops that Toontrack has completely overlooked as genres, instead focusing on a myriad of “Rock” titles, but it’s impossible when I can’t organise them and/or name them in their categories.
Sorry, I had to get that in there. 😉
Thanks,
Rick
