Hi,
Sometimes when I have issues with new plugins or software and my VST paths get erased, I have EZdrummer 1 pop up as the default plugin for drum tracks. It’s been a while and I don’t remember if I completely removed version 1 before installing version 2? I don’t see version 1 listed in my control panel/unistall list. Is there a way I can check or remove it without reinstalling everything?
In a typical installation, EZDrummer2 overwrites EZDrummer1.
The only times that this would not happen automatically are usually
when users inadvertently (and incorrectly) move the app or DLL file on a Windows implementation
in order for their DAW to ‘see’ the plugin.
(The advised procedure might be to point their DAW to the default installed location of the app.)
Hi,
Scott’s right. You really shouldn’t have both versions on your system, that’s not intended and will not work correctly.
I would simply perform a system drive Search for ‘ezdrummer.dll’ and erase all entries that show up and then reinstall the latest EZdrummer 2 update, 32-bit or 64-bit depending on your system and DAW (or both if you need both).
Then make sure to point your DAW to include the path to where the VST is installed (and make sure it picks the right version: 32-bit or 64-bit if both are installed).

John
