After installing 2 ezkeys sound libraries and 6 ezkeys MIDI libraries, I moved them to an external library. Now, every time I start EZKeys, either standalone or as a plugin hosted by Reaper, I get the message “Locate the sound files for EZKEYS”. If I browse to the new location and select it, EZKeys works while the app is open. But if after saving the project (Reaper or Standalone), I then reopen the project, it again cannot locate the sound files; although when I hit the browse button, it is already browsed to the correct directory and all I need to do to make it work is hit select folder. But close the app/plugin and then it again can’t locate sound files.
I think related is that when I run Toontrack Product Manager, all of the EZKeys stuff appears as uninstalled (i.e., Download is shown below each product). If I do download and install, it will “show” but not allow me to “change” the install address to the sound libraries new location.
What’s up????
It’s an issue in versin 1.3.2 that it doesn’t save the new path. I can give you a Command Prompt command that sets it if you tell me which path you want to use.

Ah.
The default path appears to be “C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Toontrack\EZkeys”.
And the external drive path where I’d like to point it to is “E:\Toontrack Libraries\EZkeys”.
Okay, open Command Prompt, paste the following line there and hit Enter:
reg add HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Toontrack\EZkeys /v SoundPath /d "E:\Toontrack Libraries\EZkeys" /f

I’m having the same issues but I don’t understand what open Command Prompt means. I’m trying to move EZkeys from my Macbook Air to an external hard drive. Please help Olaf.

I’m trying to take it from the application support folder in my MacBook Air to an external drive.
Im not sure of any other path description..
Please move the EZkeys folder to where you want it, then open Applications > Utilities > Terminal and paste the following to the Terminal window:
a=$(osascript -e 'tell application "Terminal" to return POSIX path of (choose folder)');/usr/libexec/PlistBuddy -c 'Set :SoundPath "'$a'"' /Users/Shared/Toontrack/Preferences/com.toontrack.ezkeys.plist
…and press Enter. That will open a folder selection dialog. Browse to and select the moved EZkeys folder. That should do it. And start EZkeys.
