Hello,
I am reinstalling Superior Drummer 3 and the Vintage SDX expansion. How do install the core program on my C drive but then install all of the sound libraries on my external SSD drive?
I read I can set the preferences in the Toontrack product manager, but I don’t want all the components in the same place.
Thank you.

The core library is basically a single sdx so it has to be in one place. As far as I know you can’t split the library or any other sdx libraries.
SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors
Hi,
the software parts Default install to the system drive, i.e. the Standalone App, the plug-ins, MIDI files, presets, etc.
The SDX Sound Library installer(s) let you decide where to install the Sounds. Your SDX:s do not have to be stored in a particular location and you can have them installed on different drives. You cannot, as Mark King points out, split the installation of one SDX over two or more locations.
If you wish to move the installation of an SDX, please do so first in the Finder/Explorer by moving the ‘SL-Xxxxx’ main folder with its subfolders, structure and content intact and then go into the Settings of SD3 and point to the new location.

John
