Hi all,
Earlier this week I was running SD3, along with Logic in my old Mac with Snow Leopard perfectly fine. However, because of a MIDI input issue (which I resolved separately afterwards) I did a complete uninstall of SD3, deleted all dowloads, including all sound packages and even Product Manager.
Now I’m having a complete nightmare trying to reinstall. After re-downlading Product Manager, every time I run the installation of SD3, I see the VST, AAX and AU components get installed but Standalone does not (screenshot below) so I can’t find the application anywhere in my file directory but it still shows in PM as “Ready to use”.
I contacted support and they told me to delete a plist file from a hidden Library directory, and then reinstall. I did this several times, deleting everything again and reinstalling to the exact same result.
Not sure if that’s how it works but it seems there might be some hidden file in my system telling the installation process not to install the Standalone component. Also worth noting I’m not getting any installation errors.
Would any of you know what might be doing this and how to solve?
Thanks for the help.
