Run the uninstaller included in the 3.2.5 (or 3.2.8) download. If you get an error message, run it once more. Then install 3.2.4.

When I run uninstaller for 3.2.8 it says software not installed.

When I run uninstaller for 3.2.4 files to uninstall – files are not found

There is no uninstaller for 3.2.5 that I can find.

In that case, first install 3.2.8, then uninstall it.

Cannot install that version because my OS is 10.9.4 – That version requires 10.10 and up.

Can you get the uninstaller for 3.2.5 somewhere?

Also my support guy from sweetwater suggested this–

Regarding the installation of SD3, please make sure any instance of SD3 is closed, then go into the locations below to delete the installed plug-ins files:Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > Avid > Audio > Plug-Ins Macintosh HD > Library > Audio > Plug-ins > Components Macintosh HD > Library > Audio > Plug-ins > VSTThen delete the SD3 plist file from:/Users/Shared/Toontrack/Preferences/

    This did not work either.

    Hmmmmmm……….

Oh sorry, I thought that installer only required 10.9. Okay, then you can do like this – create the following folder(s):

Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > Toontrack > Superior Drummer 3

If that Superior Drummer 3 folder exists there, the 3.2.8 Uninstaller can be used.

In addition to using the Uninstaller, I think you need to run the following Terminal command (before or after), otherwise you still won’t be able to install the standalone:

    sudo pkgutil --forget com.toontrack.superior3.app.pkg

Copy/paste that entire line to the Terminal (which is in Applications > Utilities) and hit Enter. It then prompts you for a password, so type it in (your computer password, which will be invisible) and hit Enter again.

    Sorry for the troubles.

    Olof,

Ok. You and Sweetwater support guy came up with a similar fix. Here is what I put in Terminal:
sudo sh -c ‘pkgutil –forget com.toontrack.superior3.resources.pkg; pkgutil –forget com.toontrack.superior3.support.pkg; pkgutil –forget com.toontrack.superior3.vst.pkg; pkgutil –forget com.toontrack.superior3.au.pkg; pkgutil –forget com.toontrack.superior3.aax.pkg; pkgutil –forget com.toontrack.superior3.app.pkg’

    It worked!!!
ReInstalled 3.2.4 and everything is now working as advertised.
I will proceed with further updates AFTER I update Mac OS
    Thank you for your help.

    Cheers!!!

For the stock library and presets you’ll be all right, for Fields of rock expansions, biggest needs around 9GB, you won’t be…
