You say you reinstalled EZdrummer. Did you install the full product downloaded from your Toontrack account (from the red PC button on the product page), or did you just install the update? Make sure you install the full install first and then install any updates.

I installed the full product from the dvd. But as you suggested in my other topic, I should use the full installer from the site instead. I will do that now and report back if that solved my problem.

Ok, I found the solution. Maybe this may help others in the future.

I installed EXDrummer and then installed the update (first the 32bit update and then the 64bit update). EZDrummer still didn’t ask to be authorized and there still weren’t any sounds loaded.

So I decided to have a look at my Vstplugins folder to see what happened there when I install the 64bit update again. I saw the ezdrummer.dll and when I ran the 64 bit installer I didn’t see anything change. Nevertheless I loaded EZD again but still nothing. So I decided to completely REMOVE the dll from the Vstplugins folder. After running the 64 bit updates again a new dll was placed in the Vstplugins folder. Same creation date and everything but it clearly was a new one. I loaded EZD and I was IMMEDIATELY asked to autorize the software! After doing so, without any problems, the sounds loaded!

So… apparently somehow the 64 bit updater somehow wasn’t able to overwrite the 32 bit dll… and I was loading that 32 bit dll into my DAW! (I also noticed it had a bar above the interface that I normally didn’t have and that was gone when I finally loaded the 64 bit version). Odd but I am glad everything works now.
