That’s a big ask. I suggest you use a recording of the acoustic drums and then choose the closest sounding. If you look in toontrack it will tell you what kits were used for SD3 and the sdx expansions.

SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors

If anything, you should just be trying to capture a sound and not look for any specific kit pieces, since there are as different ways to record a single kit as there are SDXs (every producer is different). you can shape and stack kit pieces in almost every imaginable way in SD3. You should also be matching the sound to your music and not the other way around.

Is he using SD3 to record his MIDI parts? If so, get him to send you the preset that he is using. Then you will both be on the same page. If not, have him send you a recording of some simple beats using his acoustic kit that you can use as a reference to match to.
