Recording not working

I open EZ Bass stand alone… Go to Audio tracker...

I open EZ Bass stand alone… Go to Audio tracker and click record. set my input device (RME Babyface Pro analog 3) and tempo, hit play/record and it shows red like its recording but nothing is recorded. What am I doing wrong?

Audio inputs 3 & 4 are my 1/4 inch inputs on the Babyface pro, I use input 3 for guitar. Input is set correctly as far as I can see.

Yeah, Audio Sender works to record in  EZbass via Cubase Pro 10.5.

Hi Shawn and jbis!

We’ve just got our hands on a Babyface Pro now. If I connect my guitar to analog input 3, go to EZbass Audio Settings and select ASIO, and ASIO Fireface USB, and then input channel Analog 3 it works just fine here when I record in the tracker. Same with analog input 4.

Can you make sure that you have set the correct device and input channels, and that your Babyface has got the latest drivers, and the latest firmware update?

So, sample rate on RME has to be 44.1 for this to work?

I had not tried this, and had assumed 48 would and should work for this since it showed up in Audio/ASIO property settings.

Works now for me – on 44.1, not on 48. Haven’t tried other sample rates.

 

Edit/Update: After switching back to 48, NOW it works.

So, for some reason, 48 wasn’t working the whole time I have had this, but switching from 48 to 44.1 and back has “fixed it somehow. Strange, but I’ll take it…

Ok, great that you got it working! Although it’s strange that it didn’t until you switched sample rate.  We’ll keep this is method in mind in case any other users are having trouble with the Babyface interface.

Can confirm it is working for me now as well. Had to switch to Direct Sound and back to ASIO before it would take.

I had a problem getting mine to work in pro tools

here’s how I got it to work insert Ezbass on Instrument track

Insert Audio Sender on Audio track make sure you’ve got input  hit the (I) next to record button on track ( if you don’t have this go get it with the updated Ezbass version too.

bottom part of screen choose audio input

go to ezbass tap audio tracker tab click record from DAW

Start recording the screen will turn red play and you should see wave files. Hope it works for you guys

Im finding tracking is bad lots of wrong notes.

ive downloaded latest version tonight. I don’t think the audio tracking is quiet ready yet. Hope it gets there soon wood be really useful option !!!

Cant get it to work on mine either. It was working at first but not anymore. It shows the meter working but says not sending.
