Recording midi or merging midi blocks generates blank midi

I’ve noticed two major issues with 3.2 that I think are related.
- When I record midi onto an existing track, it seems to blank out all of the midi over all of the previous blocks. ( See screenshots 1 & 2) It seems that the empty space is just overlaying on top of the blocks earlier in the timeline so you can slide the new midi back but this could be a real problem as the track gets longer and longer.
- When I merge midi blocks it merges the blocks, but any adds blank space before the merged blocks. The blocks earlier in the timeline get shifted to the end. (See screenshots 2 & 4)
