I selected a kit in EZ drummer 2, but the default tom assignments are not what I want. Can I change this before I record the MIDI? Afterwards? The kit defaults to a high / mid / low tom setup. I want the mid / low / extra low. I’m a newbie and can’t seem to figure out if this can be done. Perhaps I have to build a custom kit? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
EDZ2 will not custom midi map to your kit. You must map your kit to EZD2. This would be the pro method…
Page 27 in the TD50 manual. Change individual midi notes to match EZD2’s midi mapping.
Looking in EZD2’s Menu, Select AboutSoundLibraries>TheSpecificEZXYou’reUsing>MidiLayout. Here you’ll see the note name/number that your individual TD50 pads should match.

Superior Drummer 3 is capable of doing this with little effort.

Thanked by: Guy OlssonWhen using EZD2 Standalone, you can easily change which tom is used with your performance after recording by using the Edit Play Style Copy/Paste feature, among other methods…
