I’ve created multi-out VSTi REAPER specific Track Templates for the kits that I currently have
(Pop/Rock, Cocktail & Vintage Rock) and will add the Nashville EZX as soon as I get that.

P.S. I forgot to add that the EZplayer Free works fine in REAPER, as well. I was using it
to trigger Cakewalk’s Session Drummer 2 plugin. Just add a new track, configure it for
MIDI I/O and then in the track FX bin add the EZplayer followed by drum sampler plugin (like
a SD2). Works like a charm.

Hey guys, thanks for the compliments. My intention was to help new EZdrummer and/or REAPER users get up and running using the two together without much fuss. As far as Superior 2.0 goes, EZdrummer fit’s all my needs as it is, so I have never even tried S2 (or S1 for that matter). I prefer the simplicity of EZD and don’t desire the complexity or additional overhead of S2, at this time. I may update my “EZdrummer in REAPER” video in the future to reflect many of the latest enhancements to both applications since I made the video last Summer though.
Cheers,
Billy Buck
That’s what I like about both EZDrummer and Reaper – the SIMPLICITY, yet they are capable of SO MUCH if you dig beneath the surface a bit. I don’t even have any expansion kits yet, just the EZDrummer “avatar” kit, and find I can do so much with the dynamic range of the samples. I’ll have to try Billy’s drum maps in Reaper – haven’t quite got it figured out yet, but soon.

I made an S2.0 drum map for use with REAPER. It’s not much, but it might be helpful. You can download it at http://stash.reaper.fm or here:

Here’s how to setup multi output for Reaper (version 3.1 an up).
– Create a new project in Reaper and load EZdrummer as a Virtual Instrument
– This will bring up this:
– In the EZdrummer interface that loads, open the ‘Mixer’ page by clicking the ‘Open Mixer’ button.
– Right/Click on the ‘Output’ section of channel 1 of the Mixer (or any other channel) and select the ‘Multichannel’ preset. This preset sends 8 stereo outputs to Reaper with this configuration:
– You can then change the routing to your liking and also rename those channels in Reaper.
