Reaper difficulty

Hey there people! I recently aquired EZ and DFH. I use Reaper to do all my recording and such but I’m having difficulty using the drag and drop method. I open the vst and pick the beats I want to use, then try to drag it onto a track but it acts as if I never clicked to drag at all. Is there perhaps a setting I’ve overlooked? I appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks.

is this on PC? have you tried to right click the Reaper application and select ‘run as admin’? If so does this make a difference?
