Installed EZD2 a few weeks ago then decided to upgrade to Superior 3. Whoops. I pointed Reaper to EZD2 without incident. Hooray! Because my SSD was nearly full (Windows 10, HP Omen laptop), I installed SD3 to my D drive versus C drive, if that makes any difference. Reaper still loads EZD just fine. I know where the SD3 files are and I can use it as a standalone, but any midi files I drag into the DAW from SD3 uses the samples from EZD. So I could have saved myself some cash and just lived with EZD2.
I have pasted and copied and considered actually throwing a piece of paper with the path for SD3 dll at my laptop. Nothing is working. Even manually typing the path in (D:\SuperiorDrummer\Superior Drummer 3.dll, I can now type it by memory) will not get Reaper to recognize SD3 as a plugin. I am at wit’s end. Any help is greatly appreciated, and speak slowly and use small words because I’m really just a bassist.
Thanks – Jack
The dll filename should not be included in the path, so use just “D:\SuperiorDrummer”. And click “Clear cache/re-scan”.
