Hello guys. How are you?
I’ve some videos of How drummers use ez drummer with their edrums and i cannot set it up the same way they do.I cannot select a lower buffer size, the only one i Can choose is 512 samples. Actually latency it’s about 5.2ms. I believe with a lower buffer size it would even be small de.
I use asio as audio device
Im i doing something wrong?
When i try to use ez drummer in reaper i cannot hear any sound triggering my midi controller. There’s a message on the screen that says:
The following inputs cannot be open: 2-TD-17.Would you help me and tell me step by step How to set it up in reaper?
Thanks in advance!!
Hi,
I think the main issue here isn’t about EZdrummer 3, it is about getting your TD-17 module to work with Reaper as both a MIDI interface and Audio interface, right?
For that part you might be luckier getting help fast at either a Roland or Reaper help Forum but a first would to check that you have the latest drivers from Roland and have set up the module correctly.

John

Hello John.
my other issue is the buffer size inside ezdrummer as a standalone.
i cannot choose something lower than 512 samples.

Hi there,
What audio interface are you using? What is the lowest buffer setting you can get in your DAW?

Hello.
i meant the buffer in ezdrummer standalone. I use it to play with my edrum.
Besides that i cannot set it up correctly in my DAW for recording. It’s not triggering the midi from my module. I can use it as a standalone but not in my DAW.
actually in using my drum module as a midi interface: Roland td-17.

Hi there,
It’s the audio interface I was interested in and, what is the lowest buffer setting you get with your DAW, with that interface?

I believe the lower is about 32 i guess.
dont worry about the module, thats not the problem. Im pretty sure im doing something wrong. I’ve seen many Drummers with the td-17 that Can play with no latency.
actually i dont have any latency but i would like to use a lower buffer size.

Not worried about the module. Just wondered what the lowest buffer setting your audio interface was capable of in Reaper, I am assuming it should be the same for the standalone EZD3 app, but as you say. Something is not right.
