Having set up a new Windows 7 partition for audio as well as my “everyday” one Win7, I already had my sounds (Avatar, Allaire, Hit Factory SDXs, Nashville, Funkmasters, and Vintage Rock EZXs) on a separate drive called “Audio”. So setting paths for the sounds was easy.
However, there is a fly in the ointment.
I hadn’t counted on the midi files for the EZXs. The NY Vol1 and 2 have their own set programs now, but if I just copy the midi files from the other “everyday” Win7 into EZPlayer Pro, or would I have to reinstall the EZXs on this partition too ?
I was thinking of installing them on the new partition, so the midifiles would install, then deleting the folders, and pointing SD2.2 at the the “Audio” drive.
Is it a plan ?
TIA

If your EZHOME folder is set on the new computer (where your Toontrack MIDI is stored as well as the EZX Audio under “normal” circumstances), you *could* copy the MIDI content intact from your old partition. Not what the Doctor recommends but it’s doable. Worst case scenario, you have to delete and perform new installations of the EZX:s.
